What do consensus, actual and previous mean?

Consensus is what economists expect before the release. Actual is the number once it prints. Previous is the prior period's reading. The market reacts to the gap between actual and consensus, not to the number on its own, so a strong print that misses expectations can still sell off.

What time do US economic releases come out?
