- What is a stock screener?
- A stock screener filters the entire market down to the names that match your criteria, price range, percentage move, relative volume, market cap and more, so you can find trade candidates fast instead of scrolling endless lists.
- What is RVOL (relative volume)?
- Relative volume compares a stock’s volume to its own 30-day average. RVOL of 5× means it’s trading five times its normal volume, a strong signal that something unusual is happening and traders are paying attention.
- How do I find momentum stocks?
- Use the Momentum preset (up 5%+ on 2×+ RVOL) or set your own: a positive % change filter plus an RVOL minimum surfaces stocks moving on real volume. Sort by % change or RVOL to rank them.
- What does "Most Active" mean here?
- Most Active ranks stocks by how many real-time scanner alerts they fired this session (unusual-volume and top-mover alerts), the names traders are actually reacting to. That is different from "Most $ Volume," which ranks by dollar volume (price × shares traded), i.e. where the most money changed hands. Both are one-click presets, and you can sort any scan by Alerts or $ Volume.
- What preset scans are available?
- Momentum, Most Active (by alerts), Most $ Volume, Unusual Volume (high RVOL), Small-cap runners, Under $5 runners, Large-cap gainers, and Big losers, each is one click, and you can then fine-tune any filter or save the scan to get alerted when a new ticker enters it.
- Is the screener free?
